- Avoid “instant BNN report” websites. No automated tool produces meaningful BNN readings. Sites offering instant chart analysis as BNN are almost always relabeled Parashari computations.
- Be cautious of paid courses without lineage credentials. Many Udemy and similar courses are taught by self-taught practitioners reproducing each other’s content. Some are good; many reproduce errors. Verify the instructor’s lineage and primary-source citations before committing.
- Treat YouTube content as supplement, not foundation. Several knowledgeable YouTube teachers have produced useful BNN videos. None of them replaces reading R.G. Rao’s text. Use videos for cross-reference and orientation, not as primary education.
- Be cautious of practitioners who refuse to cite Rao’s text. A practitioner who cannot or will not point to specific passages in Rao’s text when methodology is questioned is operating from practitioner tradition or hearsay rather than codified BNN.
